just a few bits of what’s going on in my life right now.

last night i stayed up until five in the morning doing sporcle quizzes with my friends. it was really fun! but it also made me miss my brother a little since we used to just sporcle to pass time at home. (he’s in Hong Kong studying abroad this semester.)
my mom is also away right now, in china. when i sent her a Valentine’s Day ecard, she told me that she teared up. i thought that was nice but mostly funny (sorry, mom).
i have to do another radio show tomorrow afternoon (second one ever) and i’m STILL FREAKING NERVOUS. i hope no one calls in. i’m bad with phone calls.
unpopular opinion: i’ve been in love with the Ice and Fire series lately, and i’m currently on the second book. i know people are crazy about Game of Thrones on HBO, but i’ve seen the first five or so episodes and i think it’s just okay. nothing really amazing about it. i have to say that i was kind of disappointed by how some of the characters are portrayed (like LACK OF GINGERS), and there’s generally a lot of talking all the time. also it’s harder to appreciate the characters by watching the show than by reading, since you have less access to their brains.
another unpopular opinion: i actually don’t really like Skinny Love by Bon Iver. i always see people quoting it and stuff. it never really grew on me. but i still think that Justin Vernon is really goddamn talented.
